IACFS has been instrumental in bringing of Investigative Psychology to the University of Huddersfield. The Investigative Psychology (IP) Staff include a Research Leader, Research Fellow and a Senior Lecturer all of whom started in 2009.   Professor Canter officially joined the University in October 2009. A cohort of 12 PhD students have been recruited many from overseas including the USA.  The MSc in Investigative Psychology is now up and running with around a dozen registered students.

Links between the IP group and other Centres within IACFS are developing well. ACC is contributing to the teaching on the MSc in IP; Professor Canter and Dr Youngs have collaborated on a major Framework 7 bid (see below), Professor Blunt, Professor Hirschfield and Professor Hirschfield assisted in the recruitment of IACFS’s  Research Fellow, Dr. Piotr Juszczak (see below) . All IACFS stakeholders contributed to the IACFS launch event at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds on 17th March 2010.
