Institute Launch Event 17th March 2010

Launch event for the Institute of Applied Criminology and Forensic Science (IACFS)

10.00am – 5.30pm Wednesday 17 March 2010
Royal Armouries Museum, Armouries Drive, Leeds LS10 1LT

The Institute for Applied Criminology and Forensic Science (IACFS) brings together the skills and expertise of Engineers, Computer and Forensic Scientists, Environmental Criminologists and Investigative Psychologists to meet the crime and security challenges of the new decade. It is a truly inter-disciplinary research and consultancy facility established by the University of Huddersfield. This special event launches the IACFS by showcasing some of the original thinking and excellent research being carried out by the IACFS members and their research collaborators throughout the UK.

Chaired by Nick Ross former presenter of Crime Watch, this will be an informative and exciting day with an emphasis on how the different disciplines might work together to develop novel and effective approaches to reducing crime. Delegates will gain a unique insight into the diversity of approaches in security research and will have the opportunity to network and participate in a special ‘Question Time’ session to round off the day.

How to secure your place:

The conference is FREE OF CHARGE (inclusive of lunch, refreshments and a delegation pack).
